Todd Caputo is the Principal and President of Sun Auto Group located in Syracuse, New York. He started his career in automotive dealership management working at his father’s dealership Sun Chevrolet while attending high school and college. After graduating from Lemoyne College in 1994 with a BS in Industrial Labor Relations and Human Resource Management, Caputo became the General Manager of Sun Chevrolet and ran the dealership alongside his father. In less than ten years, he increased annual sales by 220%.
In 2005, Caputo purchased an closed Ford Dealership and turned it into a used vehicle superstore utilizing the same growth methodology to increase sales volume; this dealership sells in excess of 2500 used vehicles annually. Caputo's track record in growing dealership sales quickly became renown, and he was named the “Used Car King”. In 2011 he purchased Sun Chevrolet from his father. Today, he continues to expand the “Used Car King” brand; the dealer group operates out of 3 locations and sells more 4500-5000 used vehicles annually and 900-1110 new Chevrolets annually out of 3 locations total as well as operating fixed operations at all 3 locations.
